Why subscribe?

I’ve worked in startups for almost a decade now, briefly as a founder but mainly as a software engineer that has had to “wears many hats”.

I love building things. But I also love talking to customers and figuring out what to build. It was only recently that I learned there was a name for this overlap—The Product Engineer.

Product Engineers are the ultimate full-stack engineers. Touching everything from customer discovery, UI/UX, building products, and measuring outcomes. But what do they actually do? What makes a good product engineer?

There’s tons of resources on what makes a good product manager or software engineer. But the intersection of the two brings unique challenges. Challenges that I’m still learning in the field. I will write about them here.
